Fixatex has been delivering successful electrical installation, inspection, and remedial works projects with Peabody for many years, and this one in the Lillie Road Estate was an example of our continued professional relationship.
The Lillie Road Project was required replacement of Rising Mains and Laterals across 12 blocks of flats, including the installation of isolation switches in each flat, assessing and replacing communal and emergency lighting, and upgrade of the fire detection system to LD2.
Subsequent EICRs for each flat highlighted the need to replace the consumer units and some cabling due to age, and the emergency lighting system across all blocks needed new installations due to it not meeting the current British Standard – for which we commissioned new light fittings to match the current style present in the block and maintain the overall look.
The Project was a great success with downtime kept to a minimum for all residents, particularly appreciated by the Chair of the residents committee, who had this to say:
